As your skipper (Mal Reid) is also the owner, an Island
Explorer Charter is able to be customised to suit your needs. With
Mal on board this also gives you the opportunity to vary itineraries
even whilst you are out on charter. eg.
you have had your fix of getting your arms streched by Black Jew
fish! OK we will change plan tommorow and throw lures for Barramundi.
When fishing with island Explorer Charters you can choose to spend
your time Barramundi fishing and Threadfin Salmon fishing in the
estuaries, bait fishing for Golden Snapper & Black Few Fish
on the reefs and targetting pelagics on the bluewater. Why not get
a real taste of Northern Territory fishing and combine them all
in the one trip.

Coast Explorer
7 or 8 day Charter
Available: Mar- Dec

On this
7 or 8 day adventure you will fish the western
coast of the Northern Territory. This
area is sparsely inhabited with very limited
access to the coast, ensuring great fishing.
You
will fish the estuaries for Barramundi and Threadfin
Salmon and will also do some bait fishing on
the reefs for Black Jewfish, Golden Snapper,
Coral Trout & Red Emperor to name just a
few.
During
the cooler months (May-Sept) this area also
offers sensational pelagics fishing for Mackerel
&
Long Tail Tuna.

The Top
Circumnavigation of Melville Island
7 or 8 day Charter
Available June - Dec |
|
From
the offshore shoals & reef systems chasing
Pelagics such as Mackerel & GT’s
to Barra & Saratoga in the upper fresh
water reaches of Goose Creek.
You
will also fish the estuaries for Barra Salmon
& mangrove Jacks as well as chase Black
Jew & Golden Snapper on the reefs.
This
Charter is certainly “Over The Top”
in more ways than one.

On this trip you will spend several days exploring
this group of Islands and the exceptional
blue water pelagic fishing they have to offer
before heading west to Melville island to
